House of Hoi An

Authentic Vietnamese Street Food

House of Hoi An, was renamed in 2017 to be brought in line with Ms Vy’s restaurants in Hoi An. As Ms Vy’s first culinary establishment outside of Vietnam, her goal was to bring something new and exciting to Melbourne’s dining scene. Opened in 2015, the restaurant’s concept is to bring authentic Vietnamese street food to Melbourne. Carefully selecting dishes from her world famous Morning Glory restaurants in Hoi An, Ms Vy has created something truly unique. The Hoi An Express menu features both Central Vietnamese dishes from Ms Vy’s native Quang Nam, together with the most popular street food dishes from the North and South of Vietnam.

The restaurant itself is situated in the artists quarter of Mebourne and is brightly decorated with a contemporary Vietnamese twist. Due to its popularity we strongly advise booking ahead.

Traditional Market Setting

Vietnamese food and fine dining atmosphere

If you’re looking for a unique culinary experience, where you will gain an understanding of how ingredients are selected and assembled to create local dishes, then Ms Vy’s Market Restaurant is the perfect venue.

As with all of Ms Vy’s culinary ventures the key purpose of Vy’s Market Restaurant is to give customers a sensory food experience unlike any other. In Vietnam, a town’s market represents not just a place of commerce, but a meeting point for catching up, gossiping and, of course, eating – it is at the pulse of all community activity.

True Taste of Vietnam

Hoi An has played a very important part in the evolution of Vietnamese cuisine as it was one of the main trading ports and cultural melting pots over the centuries – the multicultural influences of trading in spices and other commodities, ‘flavoured’ the cuisine we know today. Rich fertile lands gave Hoi An an abundance of great ingredients, especially a very unique selection of herbs, without which, render a meal to taste ‘incomplete’

Healthy, Delicious, Nutritious

Vietnamese food is one of the healthiest and most delicious cuisines in the world. The harmonizing flavours and textures, each contrasting perfectly with one another, are features that not only make the dishes taste good, but also make them nutritious and healthy. The complex combinations help to create balance, a harmony between yin and yang, a uniqueness created by combining taste and texture, fresh and fried, sweet and sour, salty and bitter.
